I have a Master in Applied Economic Sciences and a Master of Science in Conflict and Development. I have worked for over 14 years for various nongovernmental organisations in Belgium, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia, with a focus on rural and organisational development and gender. After my return to Belgium in 2019, I started working for Artevelde University of Applied Sciences as a researcher and lecturer in the International Business Management department. My expertise relates to cultural values, social norms, inequality, diversity, gender and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, I developed a special research interest in gender and entrepreneurship and I am currently pursuing a PhD on the mutual relationship between gender norms, and women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment at Ghent University. I is well versed in qualitative research, critical approaches and emic perspectives of women entrepreneurs’ experiences.
